The 2010 AppForum will offer four different tracks, extending over two days. Sessions will be approximately 45 or 60 minutes in length.
Sales & Business Strategies: This track is geared for business owners, sales and marketing managers at service providers who want to take advantage of the new business opportunites presented by digital print. PODi members who have integrated the Caslon S3 tools into their sales process are encouraged to submit proposals based on their experiences. Suggested topics for proposals include:
- Value pricing and pricing for services
- Using social media to market your company
- Strategies for reducing your dependence on traditional sales people
- How to recover from a bad campaign & maintain your customer relationship
- Strategic solution selling success stories
- Training your customer
- How to use Webinars as a demand generation and positioning tool
- How to do big-time branding on a small-time budget
- How to generate leads or effectively run a self-promotion campaign
- Qualifying customers/ Analyzing the profitability of your customer base, etc.
Direct Marketing: The direct marketing track will educate business owners and executives on how to service and produce effective direct response programs. Enterprise marketers will learn the latest best practices about relevant direct marketing and how they can improve communications with their customers. Note: Preference will be given to proposals that include the service provider and their customer as speakers. Suggested topics for proposals include:
- How should you refocus your marketing as the economy recovers?
- Designing for VDP / Digital print
- Loyalty programs that work
- Social media integration - best practices for integrating social media into cross channel programs
- How to reduce cycle time
- Practical segmentation strategies
- Where does direct mail fit in the marketing mix?
- Advanced data analytics for improved targeting
- Green design
- Cross channel copywriting / Analyzing data from cross channel campaigns, etc.
Leading Edge Applications: This track will take a look at the latest and hotest applications for digital print and what they mean for your business. Service providers and enterprise marketers will learn how to utilize the Web for winning communication solutions. Owners and executives at service providers will learn how to efffectively and efficiently conduct business with their customers via the Web and through mobile printing. Marketers will learn how to manage collateral for their organization including brand management and supporting sales channels and franchises. Suggested topics for proposals include:
- How to integrate social media tools into your campaigns
- How to select and implement Web-to-print systems
- How to control your brand with an online collateral management solution
- Enabling mobile printing
- On demand books, photo books
- Connecting your Web to Print system to your backend workflow
- Best practices for digital fulfillment
- Locking in your customers with a Web to Print portal
- Web-based applications, fulfillment kits, etc.
Print on Demand: This track will provide service providers within the operations and technical areas with the latest information on workflow automation, web-based technology and best practices for working with data and choosing the right equipment and software. Suggested topics for proposals include:
- Quality control & efficiency for VDP production
- Designing for variable data printing
- How to use and create variable image maps
- How to achieve "lights out" production from your web-to-print system
- Process automatin, workflow software, integrating offset & digital, etc
The day before the main conference, there will be Pre-conference Intensives: full-day (6 hours of content) or half-day (3 hours of content) sessions that provide in-depth information on a specific topic. We welcome submissions for these in-depth sessions. Topics can include any of those mentioned in connection with the three tracks above or other subjects related to digital print
We are always on the lookout for great keynotes. Most often, keynotes center on an innovative application of digital printing. Keynotes that feature an enterprise or corporate client and their print or marketing service provider are very well received. We welcome your suggestions.
This year, we will again offer a session focusing on the accomplishments of an industry pioneer. Suggestions for candidates to consider are welcome. |
