TransPromo documents combine promotional messages with transactional documents (statements, bills, etc.) to create very powerful customer communications. TransPromo document production has finally reached a tipping point due to the convergence of technology advancements and innovative document production practices in the user and service provider communities.
This track is designed to help organizations understand how to transition transactional documents into effective, loyalty building and revenue generating opportunities. The TransPromo track explores the strategies, practices, and technologies required to successfully enable TransPromo document production, as well as educational case studies from organizations that are leading the market with proven success.

Rising economic and competitive pressures have forced many enterprises to look at how they can transform transactional documents, such as monthly statements and invoices, into marketing tools with a high ROI through the addition of highly personalized, promotional data. Known as TransPromo, this emerging type of document production represents the convergence of myriad processes and technologies. Best practices are critical for successful TransPromo production. As successful TransPromo applications are deployed, we learn what is required to create and maintain consistently successful programs.
In this session Kemal Carr of Madison Advisors will discuss the best practices required to support successful TransPromo document production, looking across all technologies, including data manipulation, asset management, and production. Carr & DeVoyd will discuss real-world best practices from Madison Advisors’ Best Practices Analysis (BPA), a comprehensive study that examines best practices across the converging markets of high-volume output, print on demand (POD), and electronic delivery operations, including those of captive or internal document services operations and for-profit service providers. This session will also disclose data from the soon to be published Oniya Shapira case study, plus details from several other live implementations. Finally, the session will help attendees justify the investment in TransPromo and provide areas to think about when scoping potential projects to help ensure its success.

Join Rex Brooker of Principal Financial Group in this session as he discusses the implementation of just such a printing environment at Principal’s in-plant printing facility. This session focuses on the operational aspects of implementing the printing elements of a digital color solution. It will include a high-level overview of the existing applications that drove Principal into the world of high-volume digital color, as well as what Principal sees as the next generation of TransPromo applications.
